A man named Shawn Mackey rented an Airbnb property in Memphis, United States, for about $567 per night during a weekend stay. 🏠 He had informed the host that a few friends might visit during his stay.
After the booking, the host claimed that house rules were violated and requested around $960 in extra charges. Mackey refused to pay and left a negative review about the property. ⭐
Later, according to a lawsuit filed by Mackey, someone sent his wife an email from a fake account that included an image taken by an exterior security camera showing him with another woman. 📧📷
Mackey then sued the host, accusing her of invasion of privacy and causing emotional distress. The host, however, has denied sending the email. ⚖️
